Financial Aid Council of San Antonio

The Financial Aid Council collectively provides services, expertise, resources, and advocacy that facilitates college enrollment, persistence and completion; serves as a forum for communication and collaboration on student financial aid issues and initiatives; and supports best practices that lead to systemic change.

    Meet Ginger Walker!

    P16Plus of Greater Bexar County welcomes Data Director, Ginger Walker! Ginger Walker earned her Bachelor’s degree from Trinity University and is currently finishing her MBA from Western Governors University Texas. Ginger’s passion for educational equity drove her previous work for WGU Indiana, helping working adults access higher education, and with Teach For America, supporting the collective impact of the organization’s alumni. She is proud to call San Antonio home and hopes to leverage data to mobilize her community toward collective impact in education.

    P16Plus Welcomes Gail Hathaway

    P16Plus Council of Greater Bexar County welcomes new Board Member, Gail L. Hathaway.

    Gail Hathaway serves as the Executive Director of Workforce Solutions – Alamo. She is responsible for executing the mission and vision of WSA, to include oversight of the administration, management, planning, evaluation, policy development, personnel and public relations of the agency, which covers a 12 county region encompassing the greater San Antonio metro and surrounding area.

    Gail is a native of Hutchinson, Minnesota and graduated with her Master’s degree from the University of Minnesota at Duluth, prior to being commissioned as an officer in the US Navy. During her 28 year Navy career, she attained the rank of CAPTAIN (O-6) and held a wide variety of assignments, primarily in the Aviation, strategic planning and medical intelligence communities

    Gail is married to Dennis Hathaway, a retired Navy Commander and Naval Aviator from Picher, Oklahoma. They have 1 son, 3 daughters and three grandchildren.
