Success for SAISD & SA Kids Attend To Win

Results are in, and SA Kids Attend To Win for the San Antonio Independent School District (SAISD) has been incredibly successful! At the beginning of the 2014-2015 school year, there were 1,424 chronically absent students across 20 campuses within SAISD. By the end of the year, 77% or 1,097 of those students showed improvement and 44% or 620 of those students were no longer chronically absent. View Story

    My Brother’s Keeper Moves Forward in SA

    My Brother’s Keeper, an initiative created by the Obama Administration to help boys and young men of color, took a big step forward in San Antonio on July 9th. In collaboration with other organizations dedicated to serving the needs of this population, the P16Plus Council joined in hosting a forum at Sam Houston High School Auditorium. Through this event, the collaborative hoped to raise awareness about My Brother’s Keeper-San Antonio and educate the attendees about the need for this initiative and the importance of community support for its success.
