Southwest Independent School District is working hard to create a college-going culture, and made great success in the 2014-2015 school year. With the assistance of an advisor from Trinity University College Advising Corps, Nhu Hoang, hundreds of students at Southwest High School submitted college applications, completed the FAFSA, and applied for scholarships. Southwest has used a number of strategies to increase applications, including incentives, teacher involvement, and peer influence. View Story
