Sabrina Cortez Joins P16Plus as Project Coordinator

Sabrina Cortez has joined the P16Plus family as the Project Coordinator. She will be supporting the SA Kids Attend to Win initiative for the 2015-2016 school year. She is also a part-time Assistant to the European Study Center Office on the University of the Incarnate Word campus. View Story

    College Application Week Demonstrates Power of Collaboration

    All hands were on deck as leaders from San Antonio’s higher education institutions and high schools gathered together to celebrate College Application Week (November 16-20), an initiative sponsored by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) to encourage students to apply to college.  Initiatives like this are supporting the THECB’s 60×30 campaign, which calls for approximately 60 percent of Texas’ 25-34 year-old workforce to hold a postsecondary credential.     On September 18, P16Plus hosted the third annual SA Kids Attend to Win Kick Off and Summit. With the outstanding results of the 2014-2015 school year, P16Plus and partners continue to demonstrate that transformational change is possible. Strong partnership and collaboration are critical to ensuring that the mission of SA Kids Attend to Win is fulfilled and continues to expand the number of students impacted by positive interventions to improve attendance.
