Don’t miss your chance to register for college

Thought it was too late to register for college? You’re in luck! Palo Alto College is hosting a day-long registration event today only.

Palo Alto College (PAC) is hosting Countdown to College on Wednesday, January 8 from 8 a.m. to midnight at the Performing Arts Center, 1400 W. Villaret, 78224.

The midnight registration event gives students an opportunity to register by completing a college application, test, meet with an advisor, buy books and pay online.

Spring semester classes begin January 21, 2013, so students must have completed an application at Apply Texas by Dec. 31. Students who complete an application at Countdown for College will be eligible to enroll in the college’s 14-week session which starts Feb. 3.

Special highlights include:

8 a.m. – 10 p.m. – Kid’s Corner (Various fun activities scheduled for children)

10 a.m. – 6 p.m. – Bacterial meningitis shots provided by H-E-B (costs may vary)

3 – 5 p.m. – The Last Minute Quartet (Palo Alto College student jazz band)

6 – 10 p.m. – Spurs vs. Mavericks Watch Party (Auditorium)

Music, door prizes, games and light refreshments will be available. Palo Alto College is one of the Alamo Colleges and is located at I-410 South and Hwy 16.
