FAFSA Tool Helps Schools Track Completed Apps

FAFSA Tool Helps Schools Track Completed Apps

The cost of college tuition deters many students from thinking college is an option for them; however, college can be affordable for families who submit an application for federal aid.

Schools will now be able to track completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) applications submitted by high school students. The Department of Education launched the new tool to boost FAFSA completion rates.  By monitoring completed FAFSA applications, schools can focus on students who have not submitted a FAFSA. The Department of Education, in return, can use this data to determine a student’s potential federal aid award.
