Four School Districts Get TEA Recognition

It’s what every school district hopes to receive: a “recognized” rating. Four school districts in San Antonio recently received new ratings from the Texas Education Agency (TEA).

North East Independent School District (NEISD) was one of four school districts within Bexar County to be named a “recognized” district by the Texas Education Agency (TEA).

NEISD is one of the largest districts in the state to receive the rating, which will be in effect for two years. It has received this rating for the fourth year in a row.

NEISD has 16 campuses rated as exemplary and 24 schools rated as recognized for the 2010-2011 school year. The district also had 25 campuses rated academically acceptable and none of its campuses an academically unacceptable rating.
