Free electronic resources make learning fun

Free electronic resources inspire children to love reading and build knowledge of subject content with engaging videos, audio, images and text.

The San Antonio Public Library has acquired two new electronic databases for children, BookFlix and TrueFlix . The Scholastic resources are offered for free with a library card. To access the resources, click HERE.

BookFlix is designed to inspire the love of reading. The resource is ideal for children in grades Pre-K through 3rd grade. Children can explore fictional video storybooks. Access BookFlix with your library card.

TrueFlix gives users in 3rd through 5th grades access to core content in science and social studies based on the award-winning True Books series. The material is supported with high-interest videos, audio, images and text. Access TrueFlix with your library card.

“Online navigation has become an essential skill for children however, we still do and always will have a commitment to books,” stated Viki Ash, Children’s Services Coordinator for The San Antonio Public Library, “TrueFlix and BookFlix bring together learning, literature and technology that is engaging and fun for kids.”
