Summer children’s programs available at PAC

Children throughout San Antonio have opportunities to learn science, learn about leadership and learn to swim during summer programs at Palo Alto Collge on the Southside.

Children can select between two sessions: June 13-30 or July 11-28. The sessions meet Monday through Thursday and children choose a 90-minute morning or afternoon session. Each group is limited to 25 students each. To register, visit the Library website at alamo.edu/pac or pick up a form at the Ozuna Library on the campus at I-410 South and Hwy 16. Another children’s program, The Children’s Leadership Academy, is designed for children entering first through eighth grades. It offers a curriculum that includes leadership, character development, English, math, science, history, Spanish, and arts and crafts. Cost is $150 per child and $75 for each additionalsibling. June 13-30, Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Palo Alto’s Aquatic Center, which is a joint venture with the City of San Antonio, has a wide variety of offerings for those learning to swim and those who want to swim competitively. Swim lessons are available for children from ages 2-15, and cost $45. Competitive swimming teams for ages 12 and up cost $50-80 per month. For information or a brochure, call 210.486.3800.
