Scholastic’s Global Campaign Supports Literacy

As part of Scholastic’s 90th anniversary, the publishing giant has launched a Global Literacy Campaign to raise awareness about the importance of reading for a better life today and tomorrow.

The Read Every Day, Lead a Better Life literacy initiative stresses the importance of reading so that children develop skills to succeed in the 21st century.

Through a series of literacy posters, social media badges, The Reading Bill of Rights YouTube video and literacy sponsors, Scholastic is asking communities to band together to share this importance message about reading every day to that our youth achieve academic success today and beyond.

Some literacy champions include celebrities like Henry Winkler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Whoopi Goldberg and more. Organizations supporting the literacy campaign range from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada to the Children’s Book Council and more.
