Texas Book Festival makes a stop in San Antonio

Make plans to meet your favorite authors and enjoy good food and music.

San Antonio is hosting the Texas Book Festival on Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Central Library and Southwest School of Art. The event is free and open to the public.

Spend time perusing the shelves at the beautiful Central Library (600 Soledad) or enjoy delicious foods, cooking demonstrations and storytelling for kids. Plan to stop by the H-E-B Children’s Activity Tent and Plaza for fun, kid-friendly activities.

A few of the authors scheduled to be on hand include: Diane Gonzales (Sophia and the Purple Dress); Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni, (Grandma and the Great Gourd: A Bengali Folktale), Guadalupe Garcia McCall, (Summer of the Mariposas), and Don Tate, (It Jes’ Happened: When Bill Taylor Started to Draw) to name a few.
