Video Series Shows the Science of the Olympics

The Olympics are an exciting time to share with your family. Why not make it a teachable moment?!

A video series produced by the National Science Foundation (NSF) and NBC highlights how engineering plays a role in the Olympic events.

Each video features well-known Olympians who share their experience alongside engineer experts who explain how the mechanics of engineering and technology affect the athlete’s performance.

The 10-video series will be available to NBC-affiliate stations and for FREE on the web. Parents and teachers can find accompanying lesson plans to reinforce concepts discussed in each video.
