College T-Shirt Day will be celebrated all day Friday, April 20, 2012 as part of Mayor Castro’s College Week Destination College.

Generation TX San Antonio wants to see your college spirt, so they’re asking you to share your college t-shirt day pictures to their Facebook page (CLICK HERE).

Wrapping Up College Week
April 20 – College T-Shirt Day

Show your support by wearing your favorite college T-shirt. Educators, teachers, city leaders and businesses are encouraged to show their spirit. (City-wide, all day)

April 21 – Destination College Summit
San Antonio Education Partnership and San Antonio Youth Commission are sponsoring the largest day-long youth summit giving students an opportunity to explore college and careers. Workshops include Career Awareness, Community Involvement, Financial Literacy and Diversity Awareness. This fun and informational event starts at 8 a.m. and will take place at the University of Texas San Antonio Convocation Center. (see Map)

April 22 – Youth Day of Service
The city-wide event connects youth with nonprofit organizations. Sites will be set up across the city with opportunities to learn more about community engagement.

College Week is made possible through support from  Chase and H-E-B. Destination College is a collaboration between Mayor Julián Castro, the San Antonio Education Partnership, Generation TX San Antonio, SA2020 and the San Antonio Youth Commission.
