Exciting curriculum gives teachers the tools to teach science, math and careers in an engaging virtual world.

Austin Community College is hosting a free WhyCareers Green Energy workshop on Saturday, January 28 from 8:30 a.m. – Noon at the ACC Riverside Campus, 1020 Grove Boulevard.

The half-day professional development session will offer hands on exploration of Whyville, a virtual world for teens and tweens. The session will also provide training for the use of WhyCareers in the classroom.

WhyCareers is a professionally developed, standards-based, supplemental curriculum that integrates academic content and CTE content cross-matched to Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills in math, science and career education.

WhyCareers development is supported by the Texas Governor’s Office in partnership with Power Across Texas, DaVinci Minds, Alamo Colleges, and Numedeon, the creators of Whyville.
