Physical therapy students enrolled at the University of the Incarnate Word (UIW) will now have access to learning acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine.

A partnership with the Austin-based Texas Health and Science University (THSU) established last December allows students from UIW’s Debbie and Naty Saidoff Center, located at Guilbeau and Tezel Road, to receive free classroom instruction and reduced clinical training.

“This partnership will give our physical therapy students an advantage in the marketplace by allowing them to include a broader range of training in their field,” said UIW President Dr. Lou Agnese. “It is a natural fit and the latest piece of the puzzle in UIW’s healthcare initiatives.”
