Finish@UT offers several online degree options

A new online degree program available this spring is targeting adults with college credit hours to finish their degrees.

Faculty members will teach the online courses from three accredited University of Texas System institutions, including: The University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), and The University of Texas of the Permian Basin (UTPB).

Accelerated 7 to 15-week course options will help students complete their degrees quicker allowing them to begin their careers. The flexible scheduling is also affordable compared to most online programs.

Degrees currently offered include Bachelor of Science in University of Studies at UTA, Bachelor of Multidisciplinary Studies in UTEP, and Bachelor of Arts in Humanities at UTPB. According to UT System officials, more degree options will be offered as the program grows.

Course offerings in art, social sciences, criminal justice, humanities, communication, history, and music give students numerous options.

Representatives from the University of Texas System will be on hand on Monday, February 13, 2012, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cafe College, 131 El Paso Street to officially launch the program in San Antonio.
