PAC’s ESL and GED programs currently recruiting

Are you looking for convenient and affordable classes in Spanish and English?

The Corporate & Community Education Division at Palo Alto College is registering students who want to learn English and/or obtain a GED. Students can now register for ESL (English As A Second Language) and GED (General Education Development) classes. The weekly classes begin in October and meet for four weeks.

GED Courses
The GED classes will prepare students as they develop skills in math, reading, writing and critical thinking. Students will learn study tips, time management, and will receive practice tests. Cost: $90

Oct. 1 – Dec. 19, 2012

Course Days & Times
Mondays & Wednesdays from 9 a.m – Noon (Days)
Mondays & Wednesdays from 6 – 9 p.m. (Evenings)
Mondays & Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (Spanish)

ESL Courses – Adults
These classes are ideal for non-native speakers of English with limited English proficiency or no English language skills. The course covers the basic skills needed in the workplace: basic grammar, writing, vocabulary, reading, speaking and listening skills. Cost: $54

Tuesdays & Thursdays from 6 – 9 p.m. (Evenings)

Academic ESL Courses – Current Students
This class is designed for students currently enrolled in academic classes who want to improve English fluency in reading, writing and fluency needed for academic-level classes. Cost: $54

Oct. 22 – Nov. 15, 2012

Tuesdays & Thursdays from 1 – 2:30 p.m.
