Texas A&M rolls out ‘fixed-rate’ tuition plan

New payment plan aims to bring transparency to student fees.

Texas A&M University in College Station announced a new tuition payment plan that would reduce confusion and consolidate some 700 student fees beginning in the fall 2014 semester.

According to the Student Billing Services department at Texas A&M University, Texas residents pay $176.55 per semester credit hour. Graduates pay an additional $50 per semester credit hour. Undergraduate students taking 12 college-credit hours or more pay a flat rate of $2,648.25.

The San Antonio Express-News listed in-state tuition and fees at Texas A&M University as $8,506.
