Fellowship available to STEM professionals

If you hold a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) degree,  you might be interested in Trinity University’s Career Changers program.

The Robert Noyce Teaching Fellows program seeks to encourage talented science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professionals to become elementary, middle, and high school teachers. Program participants will be provided with tuition assistance and salary stipends.

Working professionals will be able to earn their Master of Arts in Teaching (M.A.T.) degree at Trinity and begin a fulfilling new career as a classroom teacher in one year.

Each year only ten Noyce Teaching Fellows are selected. Fellows receive a full cost-of-attendance scholarship, approximately $49,000, to attend the nationally-recognized, one-year teacher certification program.

An information session about the fellowship will be held Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012 at 6 p.m. For more details, call 210-999-7589.
