H-E-Buddy encourages good reading habits

H-E-Buddy encourages good reading habits

Storytelling times and activities scheduled to promote literacy.

H-E-B has partnered with the San Antonio Museum of Art and the Witte Museum to host several educational and family-oriented activities this summer.

In 2011, H-E-B launched Read 3 to encourage families to read together three times a week to help children develop early reading skills. To expand the literacy initiative, H-E-B has partnered with local museums to promote and instill good summer reading habits among children and their families.

To provide engaging environments for children of all ages, H-E-B will co-host several story times and family activities along with the San Antonio Museum of Art (SAMA) and the Witte Museum. These events will cover a wide range of topics and traditions from around the globe: storytelling, painting, sculpting, and textile design. Children will also have opportunities to create masks and puppets. Keep a look-out for H-E-Buddy! He will make an appearance at these events.

Visit H-E-Buddy at SAMA:
– Tuesday, July 2 from 5 – 7 p.m.
