San Antonio students learn about agriculture

Area students get a taste of farm life without ever leaving the city.

San Antonio ISD held its 2nd annual Ag in the City event at Burbank High School and over 600 fourth grade students were exposed to farm life and careers in agriculture.

Aside from interacting with ducks, horses, goats, pigs and fish, the outdoor learning experience and exhibits introduced students to agriculture careers, the different types of snakes and plant varieties. Representatives from Palo Alto College and Texas A&M University San Antonio were also on hand.
