Fun activities keep kids happy over Spring Break

If you’re running out of ideas for Spring Break fun, why not try a Spring Break camp? Or better yet, enjoy a FREE day at the museum!

Not sure how to entertain the kids during Spring Break? Here’s a few camp ideas to get you started.

Camps
The San Antonio Children’s Museum is hosting a Spring Break Science Camp for children in Grades 1 -3 . The week-long camp runs March 11 – March 15 from 9 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. Cost is $250 for non-members; $225 for members. Click Here for more details.

The Witte Museum is hosting a Spring Break Adventure Camp: Dig into Dinosaurs! from March 11 – March 15 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for children in Grades 1 – 5. The Magik Theatre is hosting Spring on Stage Spring Break Camp from March 11 – March 16 from 9 a.m – 4 p.m. for children in Kindergarten through Grade 12. The cost is $290 per child. Did somebody say FREE?!
The San Antonio Museum of Art is hosting a FREE Spring Break Fun Family Day on Tuesday, March 12 from 1 – 6 p.m. Museum guests will take a journey along the silk road to learn about ancient trade routes between Europe and Asia and can participate in fun activities all day long. The McNay Art Museum is hosting FREE Spring Break Family Days: Viva Fiesta! on March 12 – March 13 from 2 – 4 p.m. On Thursday, March 14 from 2 – 6 p.m., which is an official Fiesta event, kids can build their own floats and watch flamenco dancers. Other Attractions
The Institute of Texan Cultures is hosting Spring Break on the Back 40 during Spring Break week (March 11-15) at the One Room Schoolhouse. Each day, visitors can explore the schoolhouse and participate in different activities and demonstrations, including crafting, recess activities and scouting expeditions. The San Antonio Parks Foundation is hosting Fest of Tails on Saturday, March 16, 2013 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at McAllister Park. The FREE event will have live music, kite flying and a pooch parade. Click HERE for more information.
