Aspiring journalist invited to Princeton University

Summer plans for one Brackenridge student include a two-week trip to Princeton University.

Guadalupe Barrientos, junior at Brackenridge High School, is one of 22 students invited to attend a two-week journalism summer program at Princeton University in New Jersey.

The 10-day seminar will be taught by editors and reporters from some of the top news outlets in the country, including The New York Times, The Washington PostThe New Republic, The New Yorker, CNN and ABC News. Additionally, the program allows students to meet with the university professors and attend seminars on college and career readiness.

The Princeton University Summer Program aims to expose outstanding students from underserved areas to careers in journalism.
