Cole HS student/filmmaker promotes Tutor.com

Tutor.com is a great resource but not too many students know about this online tutoring service. However, one senior from Fort Sam Houston ISD is on a mission to educate fellow peers and military families with quirky, fun YouTube videos.

Chris Lamoureaux, a senior at Cole High School, is not only an advocate of Tutor.com but also a user of the service. The talented filmmaker has created five YouTube videos promoting online tutoring. Using iMovie, catchy music and witty themes, Lamorueaux is able to reach his target audience.

Tutor.com is an online tutoring service that offers expert tutoring on many popular school subjects, including math, English, history, government and more. Tutors are available 24/7.

Tutor.com provides a free service for active military families. Because of the transitional challenges deployed families face, homework can produce added stress. Getting one-on-one homework help is just the thing students need to help them succeed in school.

The San Antonio Public Library also offers Tutor.com on their site. The free service does not have tutors 27/7 but it does offer Live homework help every day from 4 – 11 p.m. A library card is needed to get tutoring or career resources assistance.

NOTE: Tutor.com for U.S. Military Families is funded by the Department of Defense MWR Library Program and Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program.   To see if you are eligible for this program, please go to www.tutor.com/military.
