District SAVE Academy provides online learning

When traditional classroom learning is not an option, students can turn to SAVE.

Southside district’s Southside Academy of Virtual Education (SAVE) is providing students with 21st century learning opportunities with a click of the mouse.

The online learning program is designed to help students meet graduation requirements and prepare for post secondary learning. Aside from standard curriculum instruction that is led by district educators, students have access to STARR resources and SAT tutorials.

SAVE programs assist all students to earn course credit including Traditional High School Credits, Advanced Placement courses and Dual Credit courses. Additionally, SAVE caters to  At-Risk students providing flexible scheduling to help them obtain their High School Diploma. Online course options include English, biology, chemistry, physics, algebra, geometry, calculus, world history, world geography, U.S. history, U.S. government, economics, foreign language, physical education, fine arts, and more.

The following are programs that SAVE will provide services for: Academic Center for Educational Success (ACES), Southside Evening Academy of Learners (S.E.A.L), Optional Flexible School Day Program (FSD), and Texas Virtual School Network (TxVSN).
