Visit a campus and ‘fall’ into college-ready mode

Now is the perfect time to visit a college campus with all the fall semester activities like football games and club/Greek events. It’ll be hard NOT to caught up in the excitement of college life.

Help your student get ready for post-secondary education by scheduling a college campus tour this fall. Part of the college preparation process includes learning as much as possible about your college of choice. With a little planning, you can schedule a campus tour every weekend and explore as many campuses as you’d like.

Planning is the Key!
1. Schedule a Tour
If your student already has a campus in mind, then call the campus Admissions Office or Welcome Center to schedule a tour. Most campus tours last about 45 minutes and will feature walking tours of the campus grounds and academic buildings. Virtual tours are convenient for out-state-colleges, so check out the campus web sites for online tours.

Four-year institutions also offer overnight campus visits. This is a great opportunity to experience campus life and visit with current students.

2. Visit As Often As Possible
Undecided? Visit local colleges first and then work your way to out of the area campuses. It’s OK to return to your favorite campuses to review areas of interest or visit with instructors.
