Navigation expedition reinforces concepts

Dozens of Judson school district students supplemented their outdoor training with academic concepts.Wagner High School JROTC Cadets headed out to Camp Bullis to practice navigation and mapping skills. The group was led by SPC Johnson and SPC Ramon.

During their training activity, the students were able to incorporate valuable lessons learned in other subjects. The Camp Bullis training site served as an outdoor classroom that allowed this group to use math, problem solving, complex reasoning and reading skills to accomplish their task.

Camp Bullis offers training sites, ranges and infrastructure in support of military operations. The training lands provide state-of-the-art resources, including firing ranges and simulation facilities. An outdoor recreation facility is also available for outdoor activities, including hunting, fishing, swimming, safety classes and more.
