PAC’s Upward Bound announces Dell Scholars

Two graduating seniors receive $20,000 scholarship to continue their college education.

The TRIO Upward Bound program at Palo Alto College named Guadalupe Hernandez and Norma Soria Class of 2012 Dell Scholars by the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation. The pair of scholars will receive a $20,000 scholarship that will be disbursed over the next four years.

Hernandez graduated from Pleasanton High School and has plans to attend Houston Baptist University in Houston, while Soria, a graduate from Lytle High School, will study nursing at Texas State University in San Marcos. Through the Upward Bound program, both students have completed nearly 800 hours in their college preparation.
