Toyota’s Donation Offers Hands-On Training

A generous donation from local manufacturing automotive giant promotes workforce development training at Northside ISD.

Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Texas, Inc. donated a Tundra truck to benefit the training efforts of students at John Paul Stevens High School Automotive Technology program.

The donation illustrate’s Toyota’s commitment to education and their support for developing a highly skilled workforce in San Antonio. According to the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce web site, this kind of hands-on learning will provide training to students interested in automotive technologies, repair and mechanics. Having access to the truck will allow students to tear down and rebuild a brand new Tacoma with the latest technology for training purposes.

Community leaders Congressman Charlie Gonzalez and District 6 City Councilman Ray Lopez praised Toyota’s generous contribution to the education of San Antonio youth.
