Cool Fit Kids inspire youth to stay active

Kids usually like to sleep in on Saturday mornings, but not this group of Harlandale middle school students.

Over 120 students joined Veronica Leon, founder of Cool Fit Kids, to learn about fitness and healthy eating. The program was created to teach kids about the importance of staying active and leading healthy lifestyles.

Cool Fit Kids kicked off its Harlandale campus visits on January 28 at Rayburn Elementary and will offer other fitness events at the district on February 18 at Terrell Hills MS; March 3 at Kingsborough MS; and Leal MS on March 5. The free Saturday events begin at 10 a.m.

Cool Fit Kids offers guided instruction for healthy lifestyles using a fun, workout concert, games and food facts. To learn more about Cool Fit Kids, contact Veronica Leon at v2fitt@gmail.com.
