Fitness, robotics and music camps are sure to keep your child busy this summer at Northeast Lakeview College.

Registration is now open for the Youth Summer Programs at Northeast Lakeview College (NLC). Children from elementary to high school can choose their favorite camp: sports and fitness, robotics for boys and girls, and/or rock and jazz camps.

Sports & Fitness Camp
Fun fitness-style activities and games teach elementary-age kids about wellness and healthy living, including hands-on cooking and nutrition demonstrations and sports.
Who:        Ages 6-12 (elementary and middle school ages)
Date:       July 9-13, 2012
Time:      8:30 am – 4:30 pm (may drop off as early as 8:00 am; must be picked up by 5:00 pm)
Where:    Wellness (WLNS) building

Robotics Camps
Three fun-filled camps for elementary, middle school and high school students give campers experience with designing and building robots. Teams work together and compete in mini-challenges. The camps are designed to stimulate interest in science, technology, engineering and math (stem) curriculum.
Elementary & Middle School Robotics Camp

Who:        Ages 6-12 (elementary and middle school ages)
Date:       July 23 – 27, 2012 (1-week camp, full day)
Time:      8:30 am – 4:30 pm (may drop off as early as 8:00 am; must be picked up by 5:00 pm)
Tuition: $250
*Students will need to bring their own lunch including snack

High School Robotics Camp
Who:    High school-aged youth ages 14-18
Dates: July 16 – 20, 2012 (1-week camp, full day)
Time:    8:30 am – 4:30 pm (may drop off as early as 8:00 am; must be picked up by 5:00 pm)
Tuition: $250
*Students will need to bring their own lunch including snack

Rock and Jazz Camp
The week-long camp is for music lovers who want to learn an instrument or want to hone musical skills. Managed by the Love of Drums, the program gives children hands-on experience with (1) drums and percussion, (2) electric or bass guitar, (3) keyboard, or (4) trumpet or saxophone. No experience necessary.
Dates: August 6 – 10, 2012
Cost: $150 per child (10% discount for siblings)
Snack will be provided but students need to bring their own drinks. Each student will receive a free t-shirt!
Time:
10 – 12 PM (ages 7 to 10 years old)
Drop off for morning camp will be between 9:30 – 10:00 AM. Pick up no later than 12:30 PM for morning session.
Time: 1 – 3 PM (ages 11 to 13 years old)
Drop off for afternoon camp will be between 12:30 – 1:00 PM. Pick up no later than 3:30 PM for afternoon session.
