SWISD to offer free summer food program

Today’s economic times make it especially challenging for many families, but students in the Southwest Independent School District will not have to forego any meals this summer.

The district will participate in the Summer Food Program, so all children in the district will be able to receive free breakfast and lunch meals daily. The two sites providing meals are Medio Creek Elementary and Southwest High School. Below are the dates and times.

Medio Creek Elementary (8911 Excellent Dr.)
June 4 – 28
Breakfast: 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Southwest High School (11960 Dragon Lane)
June 4 – 28 & July 2 – 31 (CLOSED on July 4, 2012)
Breakfast: 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
