Young Achievers prepare for higher learning

Campus tours inspire middle school students to plan and prepare for high school and college.

The Young Achievers at Terrel Wells, Rhodes and Metzger Middle Schools wrapped up an intense 16-week program with a campus tour of Texas A&M University at College Station. The eighth grade students are from Harlandale, San Antonio and Judson Independent School Districts.

Students toured the campus, visited a campus dorm, and participated in a “Q&A” with current Texas A&M students. Additionally, students were treated to a physics show by Dr. Tatiana Erukhimov, senior lecturer of physics and astronomy at A&M.

Young Achievers is a program sponsored by the Boys & Girls Club of San Antonio.Young Achievers is a college preparation program with partnering school districts.
