Become a volunteer for Junior Achievement

Now that school is back in session, let the learning begin!

Junior Achievement of South Texas (JA) is seeking volunteers, including college students, business people, retirees, and parents who have the desire to improve the work readiness and financial literacy of children across the city.

JA volunteers work with youth from elementary through high school. Each Junior Achievement program has a special curriculum that is delivered by trained volunteers. The student-centered curriculum introduces business and economics concepts through hands-on activities and age-appropriate lessons.

Most volunteers spend about an hour per week in the classroom for about six – eight weeks depending on the program. To become a volunteer, call 490-2007 or email info@jast.org.
