Immerse yourself in art history at SAMA

For a mere $3, children can experience ancient Mediterranean culture without ever leaving the city.

The San Antonio Museum of Art (SAMA) offers low-cost admission for visitors allowing them to learn about ancient, regional and international cultures through its vast art collection.

Current exhibits explore mission life of San Antonio and Northern Mexico, Spanish popular graphics, African American artists, and the Chinese art of cricket keeping. Other art collections introduce contemporary, American, Asian, European, Latin American, Oceanic, and ancient Mediterranean art.

Free Tuesdays
Each Tuesday, visitors get in free from 4 – 9 p.m. thanks to H-E-B sponsored FREE Tuesdays. Schools can take advantage of the education programs offered at SAMA. To learn more about classroom resources, professional development and K-12 and university tours, click here.

First Sundays for Families
Kid-friendly activities and free admission is also available on the first Sunday of every month from 1 – 5 p.m. The next first Sunday event is on April 1. See calendar event details.
