Learn about women in nontraditional careers

St. Philip’s College is celebrating Women’s History Month with a variety of activities, including a conference aimed to promote access to male-dominated careers.

The Women in Non-Traditional Occupations (WINTO) Conference is scheduled for Thursday, March 29 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Southwest Campus Building 1, 800 Quintana Road. The event is free and open to the public although pre-registration is required.

College and high school women are invited to learn about opportunities that promote access for women in high-paying jobs typically dominated by their male counterparts. The day-long conference includes a career fair along with seminars that focus on nontraditional careers, employee rights, the labor market and job opportunities in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields.

For more information about the WINTO conference, contact Laurie Rodriguez at 210-486-7006.
