VITA Tax Assistance Available at PAC

Do you need help preparing your 2010 tax form? Don’t know where to begin? Help is here!

The IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is providing FREE TAX HELP for individuals and families who earn up to $55,000 annually. Services will be available at Palo Alto College, Ozuna Building, Room 114.

Tax specialists will be available Monday and Wednesday from 1 – 8p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m – 5 p.m.; and Saturday from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Items you MUST bring with you:
The following items are required to prepare your tax return:
– Driver’s License or Photo I.D.
– Social Security Card or Individual Tax Identification Number (ITIN) for all members in your family
– Birth dates for you, spouse, and any dependents on the tax return
– W2 Forms from all employers
– If filing jointly, your spouse must be present
– Copy of prior year tax return (if applicable)
– 1099 Forms (if applicable)
– 1099-G Unemployment Benefits
– 1099-INT Interest from your bank
– 1099-R Pensions, Annuities, Retirement Plans
– Total paid for day care provider and the day care provider’s tax identifying number (the provider’s Social Security Number or the provider’s business Employer Identification Number)
– Account Numbers for electronic deposit of refund
